Is taking sustainability preference into account ethical?
I was delighted to be asked to contribute to the June 2023 issue of the Personal Finance Society magazine, Personal Finance Professional, on the subject of Ethics and Sustainability Preferences. Whether or not advisers personally align with clients’ personal preferences, we have a responsibility to help them understand them and how they relate to their financial lives. In the article I endeavor to demonstrate through different lenses that making the effort to uncover and understand client sustainability preferences is a matter of acting ethically.
